Press Release

Milin Shah, a Democratic candidate for Parsippany Township Council is the smart and responsible choice to represent residents of this great town. Milin has lived in Parsippany all of his life, attending Eastlake Elementary and graduating from Parsippany Hills High School.

As a life-long resident of Parsippany, Milin has experienced how an individual’s environment can be an essential part of growth and development as a person. He would like the opportunity to improve and be a part of Parsippany’s Township Council to improve the atmosphere of Parsippany for all its residents.

While attending Parsippany Hills High School, Milin was elected President of both his junior and senior classes. As a senior, he was able to take his first political science class, the Institute of Political and Legal Education. This class allowed him to participate in Princeton University's Princeton Model Congress, where he was honored by being nominated one of Congress’ three presidential candidates – selected from a diverse group of political science classes from around the country. This experience allowed him to come to the realization that being a leader, and a representative of his peers, is not only his choice, but the choice of people around him.

Currently, Milin commutes from Parsippany to Drew University, where he is concentrating on Political Science and Business. Upon receiving his Bachelor’s degree, he plans to pursue a dual JD/MBA program with Seton Hall or Rutgers University. In Parsippany, Milin has been hired as an assistant varsity basketball coach with Parsippany Hills High School, the same program in which he was able to participate as a player.

Parsippany deserves representatives who are accessible and accountable to the concerns of all citizens. Milin Shah’s decision to complement his college education with a campaign for elected office will allow him to bring A Fresh Perspective with No Selfish Interest to Parsippany’s Township Council. Please support Milin and his campaign to Achieve Balance, Enhance Communication, and Improve Efficiency here in Parsippany.
